Job Description

This position provides leadership and the daily scheduling of trail maintenance duties, minor maintenance and repair of grounds, and trails including but not limited to the campgrounds, and picnic areas.

Job Requirements

To qualify for this position, you must have sufficient knowledge and ability in the following job-related factors: Ability To Interpret Instructions, Specification, etc. (includes blueprints reading) Ability To Lead Or Supervise Ability To Use and Maintain Tools and Equipment Knowledge of Equipment Assembly, Installation Repair, etc. Knowledge of materials Technical Practices (theoretical precise, artistic) Use of Measuring Instruments SCREENOUT: - You must show you have led small work crews of 4 or fewer people in executing some of the tasks including instructing and overseeing crew members on the operation of equipment, trail maintenance best practices and ensuring crew members follow safety policies and procedures. You can execute difficult and complex trail construction and maintenance projects to the highest standards of durability, aesthetics, and safety of the crew. Experience with maintenance activities such as carpentry for building foot bridges, boardwalks, stairs, fences, bulletin boards, retaining walls, etc.; trail maintenance such as tree trimming/removal, pruning, trail tread maintenance and construction, trail drainage repair, maintenance and construction, etc.; concrete, masonry or stone work for trail tread, retaining walls, drainage structures, etc. as appropriate to this position. Experience instructing crew members on the operation of equipment, trail maintenance, as well as safety policies and procedures. Must have experience as a Maintenance Worker performing some tasks of maintenance and repair and/or construction tasks necessary for the operation, maintenance, and repair of grounds, trails, roads with skills in at least two of the following areas: basic carpentry, landscaping, masonry, equipment operation (i.e. truck and trailer, commercial mower, garden tractor, UTV) and trail maintenance under normal supervision. If your knowledge and ability in the SCREEN OUT factor above is not sufficient, you will receive no further consideration.
