Job Description

We’re looking for a Digital Designer, reporting to the Design & Innovation Director, Can-Am On-Road / HMI / Ergonomics, to help bring the design studio’s projects to life. In this role, you will have a direct impact on innovative and spectacular concepts You’ll be at the forefront of shaping products at the digital 3D shaping stage. YOU'LL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO: Develop proportions, refine surface quality and propose alternatives to designers Create digital styling models from sketches or preliminary 3D files using Alias Surface software Mixed skills of Subdiv surfaces and NURBS to achieve high results on advanced concept Develop proportions, refine quality of surface, propose different options and alternatives to the designers with a creative mindset and attention to details Be involved in the development of styling for recreational vehicles and their accessories Respect and integrate the mechanical package and ergonomics constraints Prepare the 2D presentation material and 3D visualization packages Work with the CMF team to make custom 3D textures and materials YOU’LL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES: Bachelor in Transport Design or Product Design using Alias Surface software Minimum of 2 to 5 years experience in transportation or product design with complex shapes Communicate in English and French to collaborate with colleagues from abroad Advanced knowledge of design fundamentals: proportions, volumes / masses, dynamics of silhouette Application of appropriate lights, shadows and of parallax effects Inspired by transportation and product design trends High-level knowledge of technical constraints: draft angles, parting lines, joint between parts, etc. Proficient user of BLENDER, VRED, Grasshopper, Keyshot, Unreal, or others ACKNOWLEDGING THE POWER OF DIVERSITY BRP is dedicated to nurturing a culture that invites, connects, and propels the ambitions of people of all backgrounds, profiles, beliefs and experiences.
