Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and update pricing structures of all customers, carrier rates and data information including up-loads
- Manage pricing audit and expiring reporting
- Provide analytics support by way of data entry and review to contribute towards the ongoing processes
- Set up to improve profit margins through more strategic pricing
- Provide P&L cost change information within established deadlines
- Complex data manipulation in spreadsheets, for tender pricing and price file maintenance
- Coordinate with Procurement Team regarding pricing changes, policies and procedures
- Extract, transform and compile a variety data (e.g. financial data/gain shares, GRI, shipping volumes) for use in various analytical and reporting
- Assist with the coordination of all aspects of the tender process ensuring tender submission is in line with agreed strategy and margin expectation
- Monitor profit margins in daily transaction billings
- Process mass loads of price data, consider, manage data from multiple sources to support market review
- Monitor carrier websites and notifications
- Perform price contract documentation audits and communicate corrective actions
- Provide appropriate and timely information to other departments
- Investigate pricing discrepancies and obtain rectification in a timely manner to prevent further issues
- Improve processes, files and documents to increase efficiencies within the role
General Skills
- Freight Forwarding industry knowledge is preferred
- Strong numerical and commercial skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Excellent usage of computer / operating system (Microsoft Windows) along with other office applications (Microsoft Office) (Cargowise – preferable)
- Proactive, team worker with excellent time management and organisation skills
- Enthusiastic, flexible, and self-motivated
