CAD Technician
Leicester – On site
£30,000 - £35,000/annum
DC Personnel is excited to be working in partnership with one of the UK’s leading specialists in interior fit-outs. This company has been going for over 100 years and have done projects with some of the world’s most prestigious hotels, commercial interiors and private residences. Currently due to huge client growth and projects running from 4-8 million they are looking to add CAD Technicians to their designing team. This role will require someone to have knowledge of joinery industry as well as previous CAD 2D experience. You will also have exciting opportunity to visit some of the most prestigious sites in London and learn from the top talent that works across this business.

• Salary £30,000 - £35,000 DOE

• Working Monday to Thursday 8:30 -5pm and early finish 2pm on Friday

Your Responsibility’s as a CAD Technician
• Produce manufacturing models and drawings from architectural and design intent drawings for approval and construction
• Guarantee all drawings and models are produced in line
• Produce drawings within allocated time frames and budgets
• Ensure critical dimensions are on all drawings Understand Architectural Specifications
• Make sure all ironmongery and equipment is detailed accurately
• Attend project design meetings and liaise with project team
• Output models in the required format for inclusion in the project
• Keep accurate time records/sheets up to date
• Liaise with factory regarding specific details and buildability
• Make sure cost sheets are reviewed with Lead CAD Technician prior to commencing drawing
• Ensure all drawings are compliant with the NBS specification and current regulations relevant to the project (e.g. fire (spread of flame), BREEAM, DDA, CDM etc)
CAD Technician require to have
• Good knowledge of 2D AutoCAD or 3D Modelling CAD packages
• Good understanding of joinery industry and joinery manufacturing processes
