The Opportunity:
We are seeking a Bars Manager to join our Stadium Operations team on a full-time permanent basis reporting to the Stadium Bars and Events Manager.The role holder is seen as a key member of the Operations department and takes a role in leading the planning and delivery of the bars operation.
Key Responsibilities
- To liaise with our partner brewery, oversee all beer equipment throughout the stadium, ensuring all cellars are organised, fully functional and maximising the output of product, whilst minimising the likelihood of operational challenges.
- Work with staffing recruitment team to develop a supervisor and manager recruiting and training program, to ensure effective event day leadership is in place to support bars staff and operation.
- The preparation of all bars in relation to stock, cleanliness, equipment and safety, ensuring that bars are set to allow staff to operate effectively.
- Oversee the stock management procedures and systems, to ensure accurate reporting of sales, transactions and profit, can be extracted and used to understand and maximise future sales.
- Create and develop a range of Standard Operating Procedures, providing clear instructions to staff in the preparation of matchday and events, to ensure consistent delivery standards.
- To continuously explore and research market trends, identifying options to continuously enhance fan experience.
- To work with and direct 3rd party food concessionaires, developing mutually beneficial relationships.
- To support when required Bath Rugby partnership, sponsorship, and wedding events business at Farleigh House.
- To support adherence to the Food Safety management systems for Bath Rugby, ensuring that staff have received appropriate briefing and training as per Food Safety and Health & Safety requirements.
The successful candidate will meet the following criteria:
- Experience of working in a large volume food & beverage venue
- Experience of leading large teams and maximising the performance of staff
- Excellent planning and coordination skills
- Flexible approach to working hours
- Experience of working in fast-paced environment and to deadlines
- Show clear understanding of managing food & beverage costs and examples of maximising profit conversion
- Experienced of working in a focused customer service environment with excellent standards
It is preferred that the successful candidate has:
- Experience of using till and stock management systems
- Good verbal and non-verbal communication skills
- Food and/ or Health & Safety training / qualification
- Valid full UK driving license
- Right to Work in the United Kingdom

Location:
This role is primarily based at Bath Rugby's Home Ground located in the City Centre (BA2 4DS) with work also at Farleigh House (BA2 7RW). The role holder should live in a commutable distance to Bath and have their own transportation due to location and limited public transport.
