Who You Are

• Enthusiastic and self-motivated individual


• Previous experience in grounds maintenance - essential


• Minimum plant knowledge - desirable


• Basic horticultural machinery knowledge - desirable


• Understanding of Health & Safety - essential


• Valid driving licence allowing up to 3.5 tonne (transit tipper) - essential, preferably with experience driving in a London Borough


• Ability to take and understand clear instructions – essential


• Ability to work in all weather conditions - essential


• Ability to complete physical tasks unsupervised - essential


• Customer care experience/dealing with public - essential


• Ability to work within a team or as a lone worker - essential

What the Job Involves

• Maintaining over 100 parks and open spaces in excellent condition for residents and visitors to the Borough


• Working in varied locations across the Borough, which includes parks, countryside, sports play pitches, grass verges, green spaces on roads, and housing estates


• Frequent travel throughout the Borough


• Engaging in a variety of physical tasks in diverse environments


• Collaborating with the team to ensure high standards in park maintenance
