What you'll do:

• Upskilling and supporting squads on setting up experiments, both web and full stack.

• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for Optimizely experimentation issues.

• Supporting the creation and maintenance of technical documentation for the use and implementation of Optimizely across the business.

• Work with technical leadership and the core engineering team to define and implement a technical roadmap of core improvements to the experimentation platform.

• Contribute to defining standards & best practices for experimentation with a view towards building a wider community of practice.

• Create high quality software using agile methodologies

• Utilise techniques such as TDD and Pair Programming

• Participate in the full software life cycle, including support and continuous integration

• Drive continuous improvement across the department

• Have plenty of opportunity to learn new things, particularly coaching and mentoring others

What you'll bring:

• Strong knowledge of experimentation platforms and associated features such as A/B testing, feature flagging etc. Knowledge of Optimizely ideal but not required as training will be provided.

• Good knowledge of React and NodeJS

• Strong Frontend experience with HTML and CSS.

• Knowledge of other technologies such as GraphQL and TypeScript.

• Demonstrable experience of software development for high capacity, high traffic, high availability websites/systems

• Delivery experience within agile projects

• A problem solving and creative thinking mindset

• Experience using monitoring and observability tools to drive continuous improvement

Leeds

Leeds is home to two Sky offices; our contact centre and digital tech hub at Whitehall, and our Central Square customer sales centre right at the heart of the city. Our modern spaces, with subsidised cafes and dedicated break-out spaces, provide a balance for our hybrid working teams. Need a break? Osterley

Our Osterley Campus is a 10-minute walk from Syon Lane train station. Or you can hop on one of our free shuttle buses that run to and from Osterley, Gunnersbury, Ealing Broadway and South Ealing tube stations. There are also plenty of bike shelters and showers.
