Job Description : Odoo Developer Position Overview : We are seeking a skilled and experienced Odoo Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Odoo development and customization, with a focus on implementing and managing Odoo modules, including the POS module. The developer will work on building scalable and efficient solutions tailored to meet specific business requirements. Key Responsibilities : Odoo Development : - Customize and develop new Odoo modules, including POS, CRM, Sales, Inventory, Accounting, HR, and eCommerce. - Extend Odoo's core functionalities to align with business processes. POS Module Implementation : - Configure, customize, and optimize the Odoo POS module for seamless transaction management. - Integrate POS with other modules like Inventory, Sales, and Accounting for real-time updates. API and Integration : - Develop and integrate third-party systems (e.g., payment gateways, external hardware like barcode scanners) using REST APIs. Front-end Development : - Create user-friendly interfaces using Odoo's QWeb templates, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS. - Work on responsive design for both web and mobile platforms. Database and Reporting : - Design and optimize PostgreSQL database schemas for performance. - Develop custom reports for business insights, including sales, operations, and customer data. System Deployment : - Deploy and manage Odoo systems on Odoo.sh or other cloud platforms. - Handle version upgrades, backups, and system performance optimizations. Collaboration and Documentation : - Work with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions. - Maintain clear documentation of customizations, workflows, and processes. Skillset and Qualifications : Technical Expertise : - Proficiency in Python and the Odoo framework. - Strong understanding of PostgreSQL, XML, and Odoo's ORM system. - Front-end skills : JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and QWeb. Specialized Knowledge : - Experience with Odoo POS module development and integration. - Knowledge of Odoo.sh for deployment and management. - Expertise in API development and third-party system integration. Project Management : - Ability to configure multi-user systems with role-based access control. - Knowledge of security and data privacy best practices. Problem-Solving Skills : - Proven experience in debugging and resolving system issues. - Innovative mindset to create scalable and efficient solutions. Preferred Qualifications : - Experience in ERP systems for specific industries (e.g., retail, travel, or hospitality). - Knowledge of hardware integration (e.g., barcode scanners, receipt printers) with POS systems. - Familiarity with Agile or Scrum development methodologies.
