Job Overview:

We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Restaurant Manager who is passionate about the food industry, has a keen eye for detail, and is dedicated to creating a memorable dining experience for our guests. The ideal candidate will lead The Lookout team, ensuring the highest standards in service and operations while promoting the restaurant's ethos of fresh, local, home-cooked dishes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of The Lookout, ensuring seamless service and operational efficiency.
• Manage, lead, and inspire the restaurant team to maintain high service standards.
• Collaborate with the chef to maintain quality, presentation, and consistency of dishes.
• Drive sales and profitability while maintaining budgetary control and achieving KPIs.
• Engage with customers, addressing any feedback or concerns to enhance the guest experience.
• Implement effective marketing strategies to promote The Lookout's offerings, including private functions and events.
• Uphold health, safety, and hygiene standards to comply with regulations.
• Manage stock levels, supplier relationships, and ensure effective cost control.
• Take part in menu planning and help introduce new ideas and specials to attract and retain customers.
• Develop staff through training and performance reviews, fostering a positive and motivated team environment.

Skills and Experience Required:

• Proven experience as a Restaurant Manager or in a similar role in the hospitality industry.
• Strong knowledge of fresh, local produce and an appreciation for high-quality food.
• Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage budgets and deliver on financial targets.
• Passionate about customer service and creating memorable dining experiences.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
• Hands-on approach, with a willingness to step into various roles as needed.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
