Find out more about why our people love working for Hastings Hotels here. The successful candidate can expect to work 45 hours per week (excluding breaks), five shifts out seven including weekends. Hours of work are typically 6am to 2pm. The salary for this full-time position is £29,000 per annum. About The Role To assist in the supervision of the kitchen to ensure the Hastings standards of preparation and presentation are maintained. 1.To assist in the effective supervision of the kitchen employees, to ensure efficient operation of the kitchen function. 2.To promote and contribute to a harmonious working environment where all employees are treated with respect and dignity. 3.To ensure quality standards and procedures are fully understood and implemented, and daily checking procedures are fully applied. 4.To ensure company policies relating to stock control and stock ordering are implemented and monitored. 5.To ensure the junior Kitchen team receive the appropriate training and coaching to provide effective and efficient service in line with Hastings standards. 6. To ensure the junior Kitchen team work to Hastings standards, providing feedback to deliver effective and efficient service. 7.To maintain effective communication and relationships with other hotel departments and suppliers to maintain an effective operation and ensure guest satisfaction. 8.To ensure the security of kitchen and storage areas is maintained. 9.To ensure the kitchen areas, fixtures and equipment are properly maintained. 10. To ensure a safe environment is maintained in compliance with health, safety, fire, hygiene and security legislation and company policies and procedures. 11.Any other duties as required. About You We would love you to have similar previous experience gained within a quality catering establishment. Required Criteria Right to Work in the United Kingdom Must have previous experience at a similar level gained within a high quality catering operation Must have NVQ level 2 or the equivalent in Food Preparation and Cooking and hold a recognised current Food Hygiene Certificate Must have excellent attention to detail A clean and tidy appearance Good communication skills Desired Criteria Educated to GCSE Standard or the equivalent including English and Maths Skills Needed Customer Service, Food Production, Chefing Skills, HACCP/Food Safety Management Skills, Supervisory Skills About The Company Hastings Hotels owns and operates six hotels in Northern Ireland, with over 1,000 bedrooms, one stand-alone grill bar/restaurant and a luxury spa.
