Job Description
Principal Fire Engineer Job in Manchester, for an established and leading fire consultancy. As a key part of the Fire Engineering team, you will be working through all stages of complex fire engineering projects. The role offers a salary of £65,000 - £90,000 + Bonus + 27 Days Holiday + BH + hybrid working + healthcare + continuous CPD / professional development.
They offer strategic advice, innovative design, construction oversight and risk management services to wide ranging clients in the UK and worldwide. They work across a wide range of sectors including commercial, residential, education, transport, healthcare, hospitality and nuclear.
Role & Responsibilities
Reporting to Associate Fire Engineer / Associate Director
Managing technical aspects of larger projects or components of major projects
Support and mentor Fire Engineers within your team
Delivery of fire consultancy services, designer services and fire strategies
Manage internal and external enquiries
Develop new and existing client relationships and identify new business opportunities
Lead the fire engineering team/s to deliver multiple projects
Attend design team meetings throughout the project
Support with business strategy and digital innovations
Preparation of reports, engineering designs, calculations and specifications
Project manage from start to end including financials, quality management planning and customer care.
Client facing through the lifecycle of projects.
Required Skills & Experience
Engineering Council Accredited BEng Hons, MEng or MSc
CEng / IEng or working towards
MIFIREE or working towards
Ideally 7+ years' experience in fire engineering
Extensive experience in delivering fire-engineered solutions for UK based projects
Familiar with active passive and active fire protection systems
Strong understanding of UK legislation/regulations and design guidance (will also consider applicants from New Zealand or Australia with similar regulations)
Ability to work on multiple projects concurrently, working to tight deadlines
UK Driving Licence and own vehicle.

Mileage paid 45p per mile
