Job Description
Blue Arrow Derby is proud to be working in partnership with a manufacturing company who specialise in the heating industry. They are looking to recruit an experienced Training Manager with previous experience in the gas/heating industry (essential) to join their team on a full-time permanent basis.
Please note this is a mobile role, travelling between centres of excellence around the Northern England/Scotland will be required, sometimes with overnight stays required (company car provided and expenses covered).
Hours: Mon - Fri - 8.30am - 5:00pm
What duties are involved in the Training Manager role?
Drive current and future product sales by delivering technical training across the full portfolio of all company brands and products including boilers, controls, and renewable technologies.
Following processes for industry and business health and safety.
Assume responsibility for the Centres of Excellence, ensuring the site is maintained to a premium standard.
Brand marketing material, collateral and literature is up to date and version controlled as required.
Monitor and input suggestions for all tools within each Centre of Excellence, ensuring stock can be accounted for and that all calibration and service requirements are maintained up to date i.e., flue analysers, multi meters, hand tools etc.
Continually review and recommend changes and improvements to existing course content and materials, process improvements
Ensure effective delivery of internal training programmes to staff and colleagues and attend, where appropriate events across the company both local and international, to understand each new product and review Group sourced material to develop and deliver appropriate training to internal and external customers.
Work under the guidance of the Training Operations Manager and Senior Training Manager, you will be working alongside the Training Development and Administration team to support training KPI's annually and experience improvements.What will you bring to the Training Manager role?
Previous experience as a Training Manager or similar is essential
Excellent technical knowledge of heating and system technologies is required.
Experience in delivery of high quality, technical training with commercial awareness and customer experience focused.
Bring with you and undertake appropriate industry training as required by the business i.e. ACS, experience in industry, G3 etc
Outstanding communication and presentation skills are essential, along with strong organisational skills with good attention to detail.
You will have a Passion for innovation in training methodology and content.
