Role: Freedom Vision Optometrist (mobile)
Location: South West / South Wales
Hours: 37.5 hours over 5 days, to include 1 in 4 Saturdays per month
Salary: £70,000 + Car
Looking for a new direction in your optometry career?
This exciting Mobile Optometrist role is working across some of the most beautiful locations in the UK.
This post is most suited to an optometrist who wishes to leave the retail aspects of optometry behind and focus on excellence in clinical care of ophthalmology patients. You will work across several Freedom Vision hospitals along the South West and South Wales.
There may be occasional overnight stays required according to geography (hotel accommodation provided plus breakfast and evening meals). A company car will also be provided.
About the role:
As a Freedom Vision Optometrist (mobile), you will:
- Freedom Vision pre and post-op consultations.
- Discussion of the available options with the patient in a professional manner.
- Telephone pre-screening/discussions about lens options.
- Work closely with the Freedom Vision Patient Liaison Manager and wider clinical team to ensure smooth and efficient running of the Freedom Vision business.
- Active involvement in CET delivery to Community Optometric partners.
- Post Op data analysis.
- Adherence to the principles of clinical governance, policies and procedures.
- Reporting of any incidents or accidents in the appropriate manner.
- Provide guidance and support to SpaMedica Optoms with regards suitability for Refractive Lens Exchange.
- Attend meetings with Lens companies.
- Completes all mandatory training.
- Ensures patient confidentiality at all times.
What we are looking for:
- A qualified optometrist with current GOC registration.
- People that are passionate about learning and have developed themselves with higher qualifications.
- Previous hospital optometry experience is a plus, but not essential – we provide full training!
