A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A SALES COORDINATOR AT THE WESTIN LONDON CITY

What you'll be doing...

Reporting to the Director of Sales, you can expect your working day to include the following.

Support the proactive sales team with day-to-day activities to ensure the seamless execution of sales

strategies.

  • Assist with setting up meetings, preparing sales materials, coordinating presentations, and tracking follow ups on client leads.
  • Preparing regular reports on sales activities, engagement, and outcomes for the team.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Sales to organise, execute, and participate in client events, including sourcing venues, managing RSVPs, and coordinating event logistics.
  • Assist with planning and execution of fam trips to showcase the property, coordinating itineraries, and ensuring a memorable experience for guests.
  • Gather post-event feedback to evaluate effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
  • Maintain an organised and updated client database to support the proactive sales team with accurate information.
  • Support the sales team with ad hoc projects and tasks to help achieve department goals and revenue targets.
  • This role also involves providing support to the broader commercial teamincluding Marketing, Customer
  • Sales, Revenue, and Meetings & Eventsas needed for various ad hoc tasks and responsibilities.
  • To maximise the use of all available on the job training tools for associates, to implement and manage training initiatives and conduct training when appropriate.

To succeed in the role of Sales Coordinator, you will need the following qualities and skills:

  • Communication & interpersonal skills: high standard of written and verbal English is essential with the ability to build long lasting relationships with clients and suppliers. As well as the ability to build strong relationships with leaders, peers and associates in the hotel and wider Marriott network.
  • Understanding of sales processes within luxury hospitality and key client expectations
  • Ability to create clear and persuasive presentations and reports.
  • Strong organisational abilities to manage multiple projects and prioritise tasks under deadlines.
  • Client-oriented approach to build positive, lasting relationships
  • Excellent time management to handle the fast-paced, multitasking nature of the role.
  • Ability to spot and address discrepancies in data or tasks promptly.
  • Adaptability in managing unexpected requests or changes with professionalism.
  • Understanding of event logistics, RSVP management, and guest itinerary coordination
  • Competence in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
