About the Role
The company is looking for a talented Estimator to join their expanding team. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing accurate and competitive tenders for a variety of commercial fit-out and refurbishment projects. Working closely with the commercial and project teams, the Estimator will play a key role in ensuring that bids meet both client expectations and internal targets.
Key Responsibilities:
* Preparing comprehensive and accurate cost estimates for projects ranging from corporate offices to high-end retail and hospitality fit-outs
* Reviewing and interpreting tender documents, including drawings, specifications, and contracts
* Sourcing and negotiating competitive pricing from suppliers and subcontractors
* Collaborating with project managers and commercial teams to ensure alignment with project goals
* Identifying risks and opportunities for value engineering to optimise project costs
* Managing multiple tenders concurrently, ensuring deadlines are met and quality is maintained
* Submitting tenders on time, with meticulous attention to detail and accuracy
The Ideal Candidate:
* Proven experience as an Estimator in the construction industry, preferably within commercial fit-out or refurbishment sectors
* Experience working on high-profile projects for corporate, retail, or hospitality clients
* Strong understanding of construction methodologies, materials, and market pricing
* Proficiency in estimation software (e.g., Conquest, Causeway, Excel) with strong numeracy skills
* Ability to interpret technical drawings and architectural specifications
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills
* Strong attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines
