Are you an experienced Kitchen Porter looking for steady hours and free time in school holidays? We offer 32 hours per week. Monday - Friday, 12-7pm, 35 weeks per year. Occasional overtime may be available, including Saturdays.
You'll be working at Ashville College, Harrogate. You will join an established team to help receive deliveries, carry, wash-up and clean our back of house areas. Because we serve breakfast, lunch & supper to students of all ages the job is fast and can be physically demanding. Job Description
Accepting & putting away deliveries
Washing up, including dishes, pots and cooking equipment (using a commercial plate washer and some manual pot washing)
Cleaning/ sanitising all back of house areas, including walls, sinks, fryers & ovens
Sweeping & mopping kitchen floors
Emptying bins
Adhering to Food & Health & Safety regulations and completing all relevant training
Qualifications
You must be resident in the UK. You must have the right to work in the UK. You must be able to successfully achieve an Enhanced DBS (we will apply for you)
Excellent communication skills
Friendly & helpful
Experience of working in a professional catering environment is preferred.
