Chiller Service Engineer

Job Description
The Role
Our Client is looking for a Chiller Field Service Engineer to join their team based in Glasgow. This is a field based role so the successful candidate must be able to commute to customer sites throughout the region and occasionally attend their offices in Tyneside.
You will be responsible for the maintenance, service and repair of Chillers and some AC/VRV products and have a good understanding of BMS controls.
Main Responsibilities
* Service, maintenance and repair of chiller and AC products with minimum direct supervision and within a pre-set timescale
* To liaise with customers to ensure work is being carried out to their satisfaction and to identify future potential business
* To give detailed technical reports on work carried out, or further work necessary to restore plant to optimum operating efficiency; to correctly complete work reports/time sheets to enable invoices to be submitted with minimum delay; to maintain regular contact with service centre
* To carry out simple, on site, equipment installation to acceptable standards.
* To ensure that the Company’s technical and safety standards are maintained and to make recommendations for improvements

* Have a strong character to ensure timings and deadlines are controlled
Required Experience
* Minimum 2 years experience in similar role
* Recognised apprenticeship
* Advantage to have competency in safe handling of refrigerants, hydrocarbons and have good sound knowledge on controls and electrical fault finding
* Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
