We are seeking a motivated individual to join our Occupational Therapy(OT) team within the Mid Argyll Community Care Team within the Mid Argyll Community Hospital and Integrated Care Centre.
To provide direct OT clinical care, which encompasses occupational therapy assessment, treatment and management of patients referred to the Mid Argyll Integrated OT Team which works across both health and social work boundaries.
To provide OT leadership/supervision to occupational therapy staff for provision of quality Occupational Therapy Services within the Mid Argyll locality including isolated remote and rural areas. Experience in service development is desirable but not essential as this is a large part in the continued development of the Occupational Therapy Service here in Mid Argyll.
Lochgilphead, situated on the beautiful west coast of Scotland offers many scenic outdoor pursuits, biking, kayaking and beautiful walking/hacking trails. The local community has several small businesses, cafes, hotels, gym and swimming pool. Lochgilphead has good bus links to Glasgow, Oban and Campbeltown where you can access a wider variety of shops, restaurants and cinemas.

NHS Scotland is reducing their full time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024 but with no change in pay. This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff. This advert and any subsequent offer/contract of employment therefore reflects the new working hours. However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37 hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period for which you would be paid until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week.
