Deputy Service Manager
Sherbourne Lodge – Cambridge
Reports to: Registered Manager
Hours: 40 Hours Per Week
Job Summary:
As Care Home Deputy Manager of a Shelbourne Lodge, you'll support the delivery of the quality care we're known for. Working closely with the General Manager and taking on leadership duties in their absence, you can expect to help with everything from ensuring care standards to motivating your team. You'll inspire a multidisciplinary team to make sure they help every resident to enjoy the best possible quality of life. That means leading by example and monitoring standards through regular audits, supervised clinical practice and checking our regulatory compliance. You'll set the highest standards and draw on your skills to develop and deliver strategies that will help you achieve your goals.
Key Responsibilities:
To join us as a Care Home Deputy Manager you'll need experience in helping our elderly residents with different health needs
· Willing to cover the floor if short staffed
· To share On Call with the Home Manager
· Work in line with Sherbourne Policies and Procedures
· Have knowledge around CQC
· Work in Co Production with Families and Professionals
· Have a Positive Attitude
· Successful track record of managing safeguarding investigations and clinical risk assessments.
· Manage and develop care staff to formulate effective care planning specific to problems of all residents, specifically to the problems of older confused residents.
· Ensure residents are enabled and empowered to participate fully in decision making as appropriate.
· Be constantly observing resident behaviours and staff interactions in order to ensure good care practice is maintained.
· Assist in developing and encouraging social activities for the residents.
· As delegated by the Home Manager to be responsible for medication including ordering, stock control and administering, in accordance with the Medication Policy.
· We'll also look for some HR experience,
· strong knowledge of sales and marketing
· An understanding of budget management.
· Finally, you'll be compassionate, resilient and determined to deliver quality care in our engaging and energetic environment and lead by example.

Qualifications:
