In 2006, Christian Barrington, Mud Food’s Founder and Chief Pie Maker, took a bold step. Leaving behind a promising career as a financial consultant, he decided to follow his true passion for cooking. This first took shape as an organic café in Chichester and despite the café’s success, he was soon drawn towards a new venture, one that would soon become synonymous with quality and tradition - artisan pies.
This is an opportunity for a Sales / Business Development / Account Manager person, to be part of this growing business. "Mud" predominantly make pies and sells them to restaurants, hotels and other hospitality outlets, as well as though their own online shop.
We're now looking for a Business Development Manager to be the first point of contact for customers, as well as the face of the business across a wide variety of stakeholders. The role comes at a pivotal point in the evolution of the business, as the company moves to bigger and better premises in Chichester. With the capacity to increase production by sixfold, the race is on to ensure that the company is onboarding and retaining customers all across Surrey, Hampshire, West Sussex and beyond.
As the company grows, as well as taking regular inbound enquiries, this role will be responsible for identifying and maximising new business opportunities by finding potential new clients, establishing contact and building relationships and delivering fantastic service, meaning that our clients never leave.
Mud Foods is a small, friendly, family business. We're looking for someone based near Chichester so that they can meet our local clients on a regular basis and come into the office on a daily basis. We're looking for a key team player and someone who will roll up their sleeves and join in.
