About the role:
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate KS1 Teacher for a part-time position, starting in January 2025. This role is available due to a maternity leave, presenting an exciting opportunity to join a supportive team of educators. The successful candidate will teach a vibrant Year 2 class of approximately 25 students, known for their enthusiasm and curiosity.
In this role, you will be responsible for delivering an engaging curriculum while fostering a positive classroom atmosphere. This part-time position is set for three days a week, allowing for a balanced work-life experience. Your creativity and passion for teaching will be integral in inspiring our young learners.
Application Requirements:
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Proven experience teaching in Key Stage 1, with a thorough understanding of the curriculum.
• Strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage a diverse group of learners.
• Knowledge and experience working with children with special educational needs (SEN) is advantageous.
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with colleagues, parents, and the community.
Key Responsibilities:
• Planning and delivering engaging lessons that cater to the varying needs of students.
• Assessing and monitoring student progress, providing feedback to foster improvement.
• Creating a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student well-being and success.
• Collaborating with fellow teachers and support staff to enhance learning experiences.
• Participating in staff meetings, professional development, and school events.
