Job Description
Development Manager
Based in Reading, £65k, Monday - Friday, 35-hour week
A prestigious residential development in Reading are looking for Development Manager, to oversee the running of and efficiently manage the buildings and properties. They are looking for someone to provide the highest quality of management, to ensure that service levels are met and relationships with residents, lessees, clients, contractors and colleagues are maintained.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintain a professional manner and take a positive and supportive approach to lead your team to provide excellent service
- Provide immaculate service to residents, guests, contractors and colleagues
- Build and maintain relationships with building management, Lessees and Developer clients, residents and any Resident Committee's
- Supervise and support all Concierge and ancillary staff
- Carry out recruitment, training, rotas, monitoring of performance, appraisals and disciplinaries
- Serve as a point of contact for residents, handle feedback effectively, address inquiries and resolve issues efficiently
- Monitor the cleanliness and appearance of the development, liaising with maintenance and cleaning staff if any issues arise
- Conduct regular inspection and audit of all areas to ensure safety and security standards are met
- Carry out reviews of expenditure and accounts, ensuring effective cost control
- Perform any other requests given by the Property Manager
Skills, Knowledge and Experience
- Experience as a Residential Management or similar experience
- Experience in a line management position
- Exposure to relationship management with RMC's RTM Co. and Resident Associations
- Knowledge of contract management
- An understanding of building maintenance
- An understanding of Company Law, Company Accounts and complex legal documentation
- Good understanding of Health and Safety, including COSHH, RIDDOR and risk assessments
- Intermediate level of Microsoft Office package
- Strong communication skills via all channels of communication; email, phone, letter and in person
- Knowledge of Section 20 requirements
