We are currently looking for an additional HR Advisor to join our HR Team on a permanent basis Monday to Friday 08:30 - 17:00pm at our state of the art manufacturing facility in Tamworth to support our Sales, Technical and Professional Departments. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to our company's continued growth.

How you will make the difference:

Working closely with your business areas teams, managers and key stakeholders (and theProduction, Maintenance, Warehouse and Transportdepartment HR Advisor) you will help build organisation and people capability. Shape and implement effective people strategies and activities (in getting the right people in the right place at the right time) to help the business to deliver its strategy.

Operational Responsibilities:

Act as a trusted advisor, building credible and influential relationshipswhilst being able to challenge decisions and behaviours. Attend critical meetings within your client groups and support team discussions ensuring visibility within the business.

Work withkey stakeholders to discuss and proactively resolve people challenges by questioning and challengeothers appropriately to get to the root of people and business issues.

Providing coaching and commercial guidance to managers on people matters, compliance and risk management issues.

Using evidence and data toidentifypeople priorities for the businessand work with Managers to address future workforce needs.

Provide creative and flexible solutions across the people agenda,employee lifecycle, improving the candidate and employee experience, and employee value proposition ensuring we continue to be a Great Place to Work.

Provide generalist day to day operational advice, support and transactional administrative tasks (when needed) covering the entire employment cycle.

-To increase leadership capabilities through the design and delivery of annual management development programmes, and/or one off modules.

-Support business objectives/change programmes which have significant people implications.

-Provideguidance on people practices such as restructures and succession planning.

-Partnering managers in the recruitment process and having personal involvement in the second interview stage.

-Partnering managers in areas such as employee relations, talent, performance, organisation development and change, culture, leadership and learning and development.

-Driving the raising of the performance bar in strengthening our leadership capabilities and building a strong development culture from induction and onboarding to get people up to competency quickly.

-Providing employee relations advice to managers with practical support and overseeing end to end ER casework and in providing commercial solutions to issues.

-Monitoring, measuring and reporting training issues, opportunities and development plans and achievements within agreed formats and timescales.

-Ensure all critical HR administrative duties for the relevant business units are effectively carried out, in the absence of the HR Administrator, and holiday home process is fully supported at all times.


Human Resources

Work collaboratively with our Works Department HR Advisor and team mates to ensure a shared

and cohesive training and service delivery is consistent and adequate.

Drive a culture of high performance, continuously reviewing processes and procedures where necessary.

Contribute to the formation of internal policy and procedures to complywith business needs and/or support legislation and/or good employment practices.

Participate in the roll out of HR projects, organisational changeprogrammes and engagement initiatives to deliver the People strategy.

Support the roll out of HR initiatives such as the development of newsystems, tools, processes and services to maximize business benefit.

Support employee retention initiatives ensuring voluntary employeeturnover levels remain at a minimum

Continually identify opportunities for cost efficiencies withoutcompromising the quality or service levels to the business.

Provides absence/critical cover for payroll and also hospitality activitiesas needed.

On a shared basis, attends management meetings, supports company /group initiatives as required / in the absence of the Head of HR.

Provides critical department cover including Head of HR.

Undertakes duties in accordance with all relevant management systems and controls.

Reporting

Produce monthly report of activities and trends for the business area to Head of HR (and business managers as needed to inform decisions).

Monthly business reports for Management, Board of Directors and Quarterly Trustees.

Work with business units to address payroll anomalies and supports payroll processes.


What you will need:

  • CIPD level 5 qualified with extensive post qualifying experience in a generalist advisory role managing a broad range of complex casework
  • Experience in fast paced environments such as manufacturing/engineering
  • Proven track record of implementing HR strategy with an emphasis on performance management, employee engagement and growth transformation
  • Confident and proficient trainer from designing content to delivery.
  • Ability to identify development needs and plan career journeys
  • IT skills, specifically use of different social media platforms, MS Office, HR Systems and reporting.
  • Up to date knowledge of HR policies, procedures, best practice and current employment law.
