Title: Catering Stores Person

Location: Heathrow

Salary: £14.00 per hour

Working Pattern: 5 days out of 7

Hours: Full Time, 40 Hours Per Week

The Stores Person will receive, track and store inward deliveries in accordance with BaxterStorey policies and standards, as well as complete internal deliveries of goods to all areas of the business, maintain stock and complete orders on a daily basis.

Further, ensure that all Health & Safety standards and requirements are maintained as appropriate.



Job Description

Duties & Responsibilities

The Catering Stores Person holds a position of significant responsibility within our organisation. The role demands unwavering commitment to the following critical duties:

  • Receive and process all incoming goods with utmost diligence, checking of deliveries & weighing if required, while ensuring strict compliance with food safety policies and regulations.
  • Meticulously decant deliveries as required and dispose of packaging in accordance with environmental guidelines.
  • Maintain all storage areas in an impeccable state of cleanliness and organisation.
  • Accurately document all deliveries on the invoice tracker daily, liaising professionally with General Manager & suppliers to resolve any discrepancies promptly.
  • Conduct thorough temperature checks on all relevant deliveries, immediately alerting management to any deviations from prescribed standards.
  • Oversee the receipt, transportation, and storage of materials and equipment with precision, ensuring the timely replenishment of stocks and consumables.
  • Uphold the highest standards of cleanliness, orderliness, and security in stock areas.
  • Work seamlessly with other team members to ensure smooth running of catering operations.
  • Conduct regular, comprehensive stock takes with unwavering accuracy, immediately reporting any discrepancies to management to ensure precise stock control.
  • Contribute to menu planning by providing critical information on stock levels and product availability, facilitating informed decision-making.
  • Implement and maintain a rigorous system for stock rotation and use-by date monitoring to minimise waste and uphold food safety standards.
  • Demonstrate absolute adherence to all relevant health and safety regulations and food hygiene standards, setting an exemplary standard for the organisation.


Qualifications

Essential Competencies and Experience:

The following qualifications are imperative for this critical role:

  • Good command of the English language, demonstrating reading and writing skills
  • Experience in food handling and storage procedures
  • Knowledge of HACCP principles and Food Safety regulations (preferred)
  • Capacity to work autonomously while maintaining seamless integration within a team environment
  • Exemplary organisational skills with an unwavering attention to detail
