About the role:
An exciting opportunity to join Box Hill Institute as our International Manager (Development)!
The International Manager (Development) provides expert advice and strategic support in relation to the recruitment of international students to Box Hill Institute and its courses. Within this role, you will be supporting the Director by seeking new international opportunities, building confidence and capacity to offer programs and services to the international market and ensuring members of the team meet BHI service standards, financial targets and data capture requirements.
You will be providing input to the Institute’s international strategy with focus on International Student marketing and recruitment, global institutional engagement, ensuring that the Institute retains a reputation as a quality education provider and is a first choice for education and training internationally.
As the International Manager, you will keep abreast of industry trends in order to contribute to commercial opportunities with a view to increasing market share, implement strategies to improve student retention, pathway options, employment outcomes and industry satisfaction.
This role forms part of the broader International team and is responsible for working professionally with employees at all levels across Box Hill Institute including liaising with relevant external stakeholders including international agents and government agencies, program delivery areas, teachers and students.
This role is an ongoing opportunity and salary is PACCT 8 $103,461.98 per annum (exclusive of superannuation).
About You:
- Relevant qualification (desirable)
- Demonstrated experience in international student recruitment and or international business development in education sector
- Southeast Asia focused experience in international student recruitment and or international business development in education sector (desirable)
- Current knowledge of the higher education sector and TAFE sector with strong knowledge of global trends in relation to international recruitment and international education (desirable)
- Proven experience in monitoring and ensuring compliance in the international student space and knowledge of current audit, legislative, and policy/procedural requirements for international delivery of academic programs on and off shore
- Experience in working as part of a team in a busy environment within the international student industry, and the ability to deliver a high standard of customer care by providing useful information and advice
- Excellent record keeping skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to embrace a new operational approach to the international Admissions, the management of compliance monitoring for International students, International campuses and International project personnel
- Demonstrated experience in working in culturally diverse environments and the ability to contextualise and provide advice and support taking into account a complex range of cultural and environmental factors
- Ability to initiate, follow through and resolve daily operations issues as required for legislative compliance, contract management and continued CRICOS registration
- Effective problem solving skills and take initiative to improve processes & procedures
