The Director, Corporate Communications & Branding is integral to the success of the Communications team, and to CAAT’s guiding mission and growth strategy. As the Director, Corporate Communications & Branding you'll shape and elevate our Plan’s voice, ensuring that our messaging is clear, consistent, and true to who we are. You’ll have a unique opportunity to champion our brand, working across teams to craft compelling stories that resonate with external audiences. Whether leading branding initiatives, building relationships with key media outlets, or mentoring your team of communication professionals, you’ll be at the heart of how we connect with audiences that we serve and support. As a strategic leader in one of country’s fastest-growing pensions, you’ll work closely with senior leadership (including C-Suite) to align CAAT’s communication strategies with our long-term goals. We are looking for someone with: Bachelor’s Degree or College Diploma in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field A minimum of 7 to 10 years of relevant experience in corporate communications, public relations, or branding Proven track record of leading successful communication and branding teams and strategies in a corporate environment Experience in managing media relations and acting as a spokesperson Ability to analyze complex business concepts and challenges and formulate into understandable communications solutions/approaches Natural team builder with excellent written and verbal communication skills Strategic thinker and decision maker with the ability to translate business goals into effective communication strategies The successful candidate will demonstrate: Proficiency in digital and social media platforms Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously Ability to travel as needed Flexibility to work outside standard business hours when necessary Once here you will: Lead and mentor a team of communications professionals, providing guidance and support that fosters a great work culture and drives high performance Foster a collaborative and creative work environment that reflects the Plan’s key brand attributes: Trustworthy, Purpose-Driven, Solutions Oriented Develop and lead execution of comprehensive corporate communication strategies that support CAAT’s reputation and strategic objectives Effectively ensure cross coordination and collaboration among different departments within CAAT’s communication ecosystem Implement objectives of our editorial review board and ensure processes are followed Lead the maintenance and evolution of brand guidelines, ensuring our brand remains fresh, relevant, competitive and consistent across all audiences and platforms Cultivate a strong media relations mindset that fosters strong media relationships and ensures CAAT is well-represented with relevant journalists and platforms Lead the strategy and development of compelling content across press releases, social media posts, corporate website, newsletters, media kits, and other communications and public relations materials as needed Champion our position as industry thought leaders and ensure CAAT is lending its voice and expertise to relevant industry and broader conversations Continually manage and elevate the user experience as initiatives are developed Provide guidance and counsel on digital strategies and initiatives that grow brand awareness and engagement Ensure the Plan has a sufficient crisis communication strategy in place along with sufficient training (which includes scenario testing) to ensure we’re ready when the need arises Maintain spirt of collaboration with Public Affairs department to manage both proactively and reactively to day-to-day issues as they emerge Step into CAAT - where your work is both rewarding and meaningful, growth is a constant, fun is the way we roll, and your impact is real If you meet most of the criteria above, we would love to connect with you.
