Job Description

Your new Company This mid-sized firm has been established in Vancouver for 40 years now. Located in Yaletown, the firm designs and produces a variety of building types ranging from large iconic projects to schools, hospitality, retail, and high density residential / mixed use developments, and other projects of all sizes. Your new role You will be working amongst some on Vancouver’s best, working on some of the most prominent projects in Vancouver. You will be part of a creative team environment, and be involved with an exciting range of projects, primarily on institutional projects. The successful applicant will be able to grow and develop into the company. What you’ll need to succeed The successful candidate will be in possession of an architectural degree or related architectural degree, with at least 7-10 years local experience. You will have proficient English skills, and familiar with BCBC and local construction practices. A strong technical inclination and building science experience tempered with design sensitivity an asset. Experience in energy efficient design will be useful. AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp and the Microsoft platform software skills is required. You have good design and problem-solving skills, experience with institutional (k-12, university, etc) design. Have the ability to work collaboratively with other project team members. Have a knowledge of sustainable building design.
