Job Description
A boutique architectural practice specializing in residential, hospitality and commercial projects is looking for an Architect (open to Interns/ Architectural Designers or Architects) to join their team. Led by a multidisciplinary principal in the Calgary core. in office FT Responsibilities: Play an integral part in the success of the firm, through effective project leadership, innovative ideas, and nurturing of established relationships. Responsible for collaborating with clients, engineers, and other stakeholders to develop design concepts and plans. Develop creative and innovative design solutions that meet client needs and project requirements. Creating detailed construction documents, including plans, sections, and elevations. Prepare detailed architectural drawings, specifications, and construction documents. Reviewing and approving contractor submittals, and respond to RFIs during the construction phase. Conduct site visits to ensure that construction is progressing according to plans and specifications. Prepare and administer contracts, including change orders, payment applications, and close-out documents. Manage project budgets and timelines, and ensure that project goals are met. Qualifications: Professional degree in Architecture from an accredited college or university. Possess 5-7 years of local experience and have previous experience working on residential and mixed-use projects in the Calgary area. Proficiency with the following platforms: Revit, AutoCAD, Adobe & Sketch-Up. Excellent verbal and written communication – with the ability to develop strong relationships with clients (internal & external). Possess sound knowledge of local buildings codes and bylaws. Registration, LEED & PMP Certification are a bonus but not a requirement. The successful candidate will receive an attractive compensation package $75,000 - $100,000, extended benefits and a flexible working environment.
