Senior Architectural Technologist

A boutique architectural practice specializing in residential, hospitality and commercial projects is looking for a Senior Architectural Technologist to join their team. Led by a multidisciplinary principal in the Calgary core. this is an in office position Responsibilities: Overseeing the technical drawing stage, providing contract administration and production drawings support in Revit, developing technical alternatives as needed. Work closely with Architects and engineers to ensure that designs meet specifications. Ensure that drawings comply with all applicable codes, standards, and regulations. Interpreting Building Codes and AHJ comments and develop the appropriate response. Communicate directly with clients, contractors, product suppliers and others. Collaborate with other team members to ensure that projects are delivered on time and within budget. Keep up-to-date with emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in the industry. Qualifications: Minimum of 7 years’ experience as an architectural technologist, local experience is strongly preferred. Prior interiors, commercial, residential and/ or hospitality project experience is required. You will have an Architectural Technology Diploma or equivalent. You must have proficiency with the following platforms: Revit, AutoCAD, Adobe & Sketch-Up. Prior experience managing a project from conception to completion. Sound knowledge of local building codes and bylaws is required. The successful candidate will receive an attractive compensation package $75,000 - $90,000, extended benefits and a flexible working environment.
