Job Description
We are looking for a friendly, professional, and well-organized School Receptionist. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for parents, students, and visitors, and will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the school office. Excellent communication skills, a polished telephone manner, and experience using SIMS (School Information Management System) are essential for this role.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a receptionist or administrative role, preferably in a school or educational setting.
- Strong telephone manner with the ability to remain calm, polite, and professional under pressure.
- Strong organisational and multitasking skills.
- High level of discretion and ability to handle confidential information.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Front Desk Management: Greet all visitors, students, and staff with a warm and professional attitude, ensuring that the reception area is welcoming and orderly whilst monitoring the visitor sign-in procedure.
- Telephone Handling: Answer and direct incoming calls with a polite and professional manner, providing accurate information or transferring calls to the appropriate departments.
- SIMS Management: Maintain and update student records, attendance, and other essential data using the SIMS software. Ensure all information is accurate and up to date.
- Communication and General Office Duty Support: Handle inquiries from parents, students, and staff, both in person and over the phone, promptly and efficiently.
- Mail and Correspondence: Manage incoming and outgoing mail, emails, and school communications, ensuring they are delivered to the correct departments or individuals.
- Administrative Support: Assist the office and administrative staff with tasks such as data entry, filing, and distributing documents.
