As a Senior Staff Nurse, you will support the Ward/Department Manager in leading a team to provide patient-centred care and maintain high clinical standards. You will take responsibility for ensuring the ward runs smoothly, providing clinical expertise and leadership. You will oversee patient care, ensuring all care areas are safe and effective. You will also step into the leadership role in the absence of the Ward Manager, providing guidance to the team and ensuring continuity of care.
Key Responsibilities:
You will provide outstanding nursing care to patients, ensuring high standards are met in every aspect of care.
You will take responsibility for the management of the ward when required, ensuring the environment is safe and fit for purpose.
You will mentor and guide junior team members, helping them to develop their skills and knowledge.
You will ensure compliance with hospital policies and procedures, contributing to a smooth and efficient operation.
What We're Looking For:
You will be a Registered Nurse with significant post-registration experience in an inpatient setting, ideally as a Senior Staff Nurse.
You will have strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to support and manage a team.
You will have basic phlebotomy skills and experience with ECG monitoring.
You will be patient-focused, compassionate, and committed to delivering excellent care as a Senior Staff Nurse.
