Associate Director (Building Services)
Manchester City Centre
Salary: Up to £90,000, 26 Days Holiday, Life & Health Insurance, Bonus

Setting up offices is like starting a business, but with backing, it's still a big job that requires a lot of work. However, being paid comfortably above the market average and having 18 months of secured work in the North of England will make life much easier for you and allow you to focus on cementing a place in the market for a business that has a fantastic reputation in the rest of the UK and would like to tackle the North.
You can also enjoy the other perks that they offer too. These include 26 days holiday, Vitality Health Insurance, an Electric Car Scheme, 4X Life Cover and a Bonus scheme too. As the Business is going through the Employee-Owned Trust (EOT) process there are other perks too which can be discussed.
They do already have some office space in Manchester, it's central and close to Piccadilly station. But, rather than sitting alone in the office, you can work almost remotely to begin with until the team grows. They would expect you to go to other offices in the settling in process and to learn the culture and understand the business.
The company policy is 3 days in the office and 2 from home so you will need to comfortable with this longer term.
Services they offer includes Engineering, Revit Coordination, Public Health, Sustainability and BREEAM too. 99% of their work is client side, RIBA Stages 0-4 and they provide on site monitoring works too. You need to be comfortable being client facing and being the face of the business in DTM's. Sectors include Residential, Commercial, Hotels, Education etc and they have multiple Industrial jobs ready to go for you to start on.
To begin with you will be more concerned with getting to grips with projects and being seen by the clients whilst leading the delivery of projects. You can utilise the 40+ engineer head count across the rest of the UK whilst you are busy establishing a team locally around you. The business is prepared to invest heavily in this office to make it a success, so you will be able to welcome new appointments quickly.
They are not concerned if you are of Electrical or Mechanical bias and CEng is not essential. What you need is a good knowledge of the Manchester market and a drive to get the Northern operation moving and get the job done.
