Special Education Teachers Needed in Bellwood, IL (2024-25 School Year)

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with special needs.
• Adapt and modify curriculum materials to meet the needs of students.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, school staff, and parents to support student learning and development.
• Monitor and assess students' progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly.
• Provide a safe, nurturing, and supportive learning environment for all students.
• Participate in professional development and stay current with best practices in special education.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Masters degree in Special Education or a related field.
• Valid teaching certification in Special Education.
• Strong understanding of special education laws and regulations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with a team of educators, administrators, and support staff.
• Experience working with students with a range of disabilities is preferred.
