The Opportunity:

Exemplar Capital is expanding rapidly, and we are seeking talented professionals to join our team in four critical roles: Generalist Banker, Private Placement Banker, M&A Banker, Real Estate Banker and Distribution Team Member (External Wholesaler). Each role offers a unique opportunity to engage with high-growth industries and contribute to our client’s success through innovative financial solutions.

Position 1: Generalist Banker

This role involves providing broad investment banking services across various industries.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and investors across various sectors.
  • Manage a variety of transactions, including debt and equity financings, corporate restructurings, and joint ventures.
  • Support the senior management team in client pitches, deal structuring, and closing transactions.
  • Provide strategic counsel on mergers, acquisitions, and capital raising.

What You Bring:

  • Experience in multiple financial sectors and industries.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to work across various transactions.
  • FINRA licensing: Series 63, 7, 79 (Preferred).

Position 2: Private Placement Banker

This position is focused on managing private placement securities transactions, particularly in early-stage companies and innovative industries such as biotech and ESG.

Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain relationships with investors interested in private placements.
  • Develop a deep understanding of the firm’s strengths and current deals.
  • Facilitate meetings between issuers and investors, ensuring a productive dialogue.
  • You can close investment deals and maintain ongoing communication post-closing.

What You Bring:

  • Experience in private placements, particularly Reg A and Reg D offerings.
  • FINRA licensing: Series 63, 82 or 7, 79 (optional).
  • Strong relationship-building skills and an entrepreneurial mindset.

Position 3: M&A Banker

In this role, you will lead clients through mergers and acquisitions, from due diligence to closing transactions.

Responsibilities:

  • Advise clients on structuring and negotiating mergers, acquisitions, and joint ventures.
  • Handle complex commercial contracts and secured transactions.
  • Manage the entire M&A process, ensuring seamless execution and successful outcomes for all parties involved.
  • Provide strategic counsel on financing options for M&A deals.

What You Bring:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in M&A, focusing on deal structuring, negotiation, and closing.
  • Proven ability to develop strategic partnerships and execute large-scale transactions.
  • FINRA licensing: Series 63, 7, 79.

Position 4: Real Estate Banker

This role provides financing and strategic advisory for commercial real estate transactions.

Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with real estate developers, investors, and industry stakeholders.
  • Structure and close real estate financing deals, including debt, equity, and mezzanine financing.
  • Provide strategic advice on commercial real estate acquisitions, dispositions, and joint ventures.
  • Manage real estate transaction processes from initial analysis through closing, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

What You Bring:

  • Proven experience in commercial real estate financing, including structuring complex deals.
  • Strong network within the real estate industry and an understanding of market dynamics.
  • FINRA licensing: Series 63, 7, 79 (required).

Position 5: Distribution Team Member (External Wholesaler)

This role will join our distribution team, which specializes in external wholesaling. This team is crucial in expanding our capital markets reach, working directly with the Head of Distribution to build and maintain strong relationships with institutional investors and advisors.

Responsibilities:

  • Build and Maintain Relationships: Develop strong relationships with investors and investment firms, understanding their needs and effectively positioning our products and services.
  • Execute Sales Strategies: Collaborate with management to drive sales, building assets through a defined territory plan and sales process.
  • Client Engagement: Conduct proactive sales presentations to showcase our firm’s value propositions.
  • Advisor Profiling: Profile advisors to understand their practices and identify investment solutions that meet their clients’ needs.
  • Product Knowledge: Maintain a deep understanding of the firm’s products, services, and deals to communicate effectively with investors.
  • Close Investments: Secure and close investment deals while maintaining ongoing relationships with investors for future opportunities.

What You Bring:

  • Experience: Extensive experience in RIA and independent broker-dealer business development, with a proven track record in external wholesaling, particularly in the alternative investment space.
  • Product Knowledge: In-depth understanding of our firm's products and services.
  • Entrepreneurial Spirit: Proactive and self-driven approach with the ability to navigate capital markets.
  • Team Collaboration: Strong ability to work within a high-performing, collaborative team.
  • Licensing: Series 7 required.
