Job Title: Paid Search Director

Position Type: FTE 40 hrs/wk

Compensation: Base Salary + Commissions (Average Annualized Compensation: $80K+)

Hours: 8am to 5pm, M-F

Work Location: M-Th In-Office, Flex Fridays

Job Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Paid Search Director to lead our paid search marketing efforts. As the Paid Search Director, you will oversee strategy, execution, and optimization of paid search campaigns across multiple platforms to drive business growth, increase visibility, and enhance customer acquisition. This role requires a strong blend of analytical, creative, and leadership skills to manage a high-performance team while ensuring that campaigns deliver on KPIs, ROAS, and overall marketing goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership:

    • Develop and implement comprehensive paid search strategies to achieve business goals.

    • Drive innovation and optimization across campaigns, ensuring a competitive advantage in the digital marketplace.

    • Align paid search initiatives with broader digital marketing efforts, including SEO, display advertising, and social media marketing.

  • Campaign Management & Optimization:

    • Oversee the planning, execution, and optimization of all paid search campaigns (Google Ads, Bing Ads, etc.).

    • Monitor and analyze performance metrics such as CTR, CPA, conversion rates, and ROAS to optimize campaigns.

    • Perform A/B testing, audience segmentation, and bid management to improve campaign efficiency.

    • Collaborate with analytics and data teams to measure performance and make data-driven decisions.

  • Team Leadership:

    • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of paid search specialists, fostering a culture of learning and innovation.

    • Coordinate with cross-functional teams including creative, content, product, and development to ensure paid search efforts are integrated.

  • Budget & Forecasting:

    • Manage and allocate the paid search budget, ensuring effective and efficient use of resources.

    • Forecast campaign performance and provide financial reports on campaign ROI, spend, and future projections.

  • Client & Stakeholder Management:

    • Act as the primary point of contact for senior leadership on paid search strategies and performance.

    • Work closely with external vendors and partners, ensuring they deliver on campaign goals and SLAs.

  • Industry Research & Best Practices:

    • Stay updated on the latest industry trends, tools, and best practices to maintain a competitive edge.

    • Implement cutting-edge technologies and methodologies, including machine learning, AI, and automation in paid search.

Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or a related field or work experience equivalent.

  • 7+ years of experience in paid search marketing, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.

  • Expertise in managing Google Ads, Bing Ads, and other PPC platforms.

  • Proven track record of driving measurable growth and managing significant budgets.

  • Strong analytical skills, with proficiency in tools such as Google Analytics, SEMrush, or other reporting platforms.

  • Leadership experience in managing a high-performing team and working cross-functionally.

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Certifications in Google Ads, Bing Ads, or other paid search platforms are highly desirable.
