Job Description
We are looking for a Chef de Partie to join our amazing team in Wembley.
Working in a school, you will assist the Chef Manager with a range of duties including maintaining stock levels, ordering food and supplies, preparing and serving hot meals and cold food/snacks. In addition to food related duties, the Chef de Partie will contribute to the delivery of great customer service, through a positive and solution-focused approach.
Duties:
In addition to food related duties, the Chef de Partie will contribute to the delivery of great customer service, through a positive and solution-focused approach. Duties include assisting the Chef Manager to:
Prepare and serve a range of healthy and nutritious hot and cold meals, using a range of kitchen equipment and tools;
Ensure the safe, production, cooking, assembly and storage of food.
Ensure sufficient food products are produced to a high standard, ready for serving or for transportation to other sites as needed.
Carry out a range of food serve duties, ensuring food is properly portioned and accounted for.
Provide information as requested relating to menu items such as how they are produced and be able to inform users of product related information such as allergens and ingredients.
Complete cleaning programmes of all kitchen equipment and areas fully, and in line with food safety standards.
Undertake domestic duties in the dining halls such as, setting out, cleaning and clearing of tables, and chairs, cleaning counters, surfaces, cutlery, and other prerequisites for the dining area).
Maintain stock levels including checking and filling vending/drinks machines, empty moneys and reconcile sales against till receipts.
Assist with the induction of new staff into the and provide direction of Food Services Assistants. Deputise for the Chef Manager in their absence.
Qualifications & Experience:
Food Safety & Hygiene Level 2
Maths & English qualification
Digital skills
Some prior experience of working in a commercial food service/preparation environment preferred.
Previous experience of working in a customer service/focused environment preferred.
Passionate about producing great food to a high standard
Great team worker with a customer focused approach
Able to use initiative
Working Arrangements:
Working pattern: Monday to Friday (Term time only). 30 hours per week.
Location: You will be allocated to a site in Wembley.
Other: An enhanced DBS check will be required for this role.
