Job Description

SCiA are proud to be currently supporting people across the Southampton community to ensure they stay safe and well.
We currently have roles for individuals who like to work alone or part of a double up team. Flexible shifts available in Central, East and West Southampton, including Days from 7am to 5pm, Evenings from 5pm to 10pm and Weekends between 7am and 10pm, so you can work around your preferred hours.
Given the nature of the role there is a requirement for candidates to hold a full, valid and clean driving licence, access to their own motorised transport, and business insurance policy.

About the role
A Support Worker's role can be wide and varied, and no two days are the same – but here’s an idea of what you could be doing.
* Promoting and encouraging independence, whilst assisting the people we support with their daily routines.
* Identifying new opportunities for integration, participation and inclusion, available to the people we support, both within our services and the community.
* Providing quality personal care, which could include bathing, toileting etc. depending on individual needs, while maintaining respect and sensitivity.
* Participating in household tasks, which include cleaning, cooking, ironing, washing etc. while encouraging the people we support to join in.
* Engaging in conversation and sometimes having a belly laugh together over something silly!

If you’re successful, we need you to have an Enhanced Disclosure Check through the Disclosure and Barring Service which we’ll pay for*.
