Role Overview:
We are seeking a CAD Technician to join our growing team in Manchester. This role is critical to supporting our expanding design function, where creativity, technical proficiency, and attention to detail are key. The ideal candidates will have experience in fabrication, sheet metal design, and SolidWorks, and will be involved in projects from concept through to final manufacturing. This will be a mixture of mechanical and product design, so if you have strong Solidworks skills and a creative edge these roles could be for you.
1. CAD Technician
Salary: £30,000 - £36,000
Location: Manchester
Hours: 40 hours per week (Flexible start/finish times, 1 day WFH after probation)

Key Responsibilities:
* Create detailed CAD drawings using SolidWorks.
* Work closely with the design and manufacturing teams to ensure accurate production drawings.
* Design and develop structures, sheet metal parts, and fabricated components.
* Convert client-provided designs into CAD drawings and prepare them for manufacture.
* Collaborate with various departments (sales, projects, installation) to ensure design feasibility.
* Maintain high standards of accuracy and detail in all work, ensuring designs meet project specifications and client expectations.
Requirements:
* Technical Skills: Proficiency in SolidWorks, with a strong understanding of sheet metal, fabrication, and assembly.
* Experience: Minimum 1-2 years of relevant CAD experience, preferably in product design, mechanical design, or signage.
* Creative Flair: Ability to develop and refine designs creatively, while adhering to technical constraints.
* Education: Degree in product design, mechanical design, or related field (though not essential).
