General Manager - The Block & Gasket, Sale



Salary – Up to £45,000 p.a.

A little bit about the opportunity…



Just over 5 miles southwest of Manchester sits the town of Sale, with some 55,000 residents, multiple green spaces, great restaurants and bars, a lively nightlife scene and the cherry on the cake – The Block & Gasket!



The B&G is a true all-rounder of a business. Its very healthy food trade is built on the drive for quality and consistency, leading to a great reputation locally and a very loyal food trade that also supports the Dark Kitchen offer. This is coupled with a real focus on Craft Ale and all things Cocktail and Premium.



As with most of our Social, Pub, and Kitchen businesses, the sports offering features strongly. The team at the B&G knows how to deliver sports and create that pre- and post-match feel to increase dwell time and spend per head. In addition to the sport, the party kicks into gear at the weekend with Karaoke and DJs, as well as a very strong Bottomless Brunch trade.



Jamie Baldaro, our Area Manager in Sale, is looking to work with a General Manager who can continue and, where possible, build on the sales and standards at Block & Gasket. You will need to be hands-on and have a real passion for developing and leading your team to great things.



There is a real opportunity to grow sales further with a greater focus on a little more community-driven activity and the sharpening of the weekly activity calendar, ensuring there is always a reason to visit. Jamie wants a General Manager who will create events and sales-building plans that can’t be ignored!



This is an exciting time at the Block & Gasket, with a sizable upcoming investment as well as the opportunity to have some autonomy within the business to drive sales, enthuse and engage the team further and in turn WOW the guests!
