Commis Chef

Earnings: up to £14h inclusive of service charge (£11.44 + service charge)

Contract type: Permanent, full time, 23.00 latest finishing time, 40 hours.

We are looking for aCommis Chefto join our back-of-house team working in our production kitchen.

As a Commis Chef, youll be part of a large, professional team of chefs. Youll support the senior teams in the preparation and production of our high-quality dishes. This is the perfect role for someone with limited experience and looking to learn more about Italian food preparation and working with high-quality fresh ingredients.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING...

• Portion, cut, slice, dip, batter, maintain holding temperature, frying, and sauté.
• Select cuts of meat, poultry, shellfish, fish, game, or vegetables to be used for frying or sautéing.
• Plate menu items along with appropriate garnish.
  

• At least 1 year experience working in a kitchen in either a professional or further education environment.
• Ability to cook to specs and brand standards.
• Experience working with fresh ingredients and an understanding of basic sauce preparations is preferable.
• Strong knife skills.
• Knowledge of Italian cuisine is beneficial.
• Availability to work flexibly across a rota that will cover mornings, evenings, and weekends with shifts falling between 7 am and 10.30 pm.
• Willingness to be flexible and support multiple teams.
• Fluent in English.
• Right to work in the UK.
