Job Description
We are recruiting for an exciting Sous Chef position at a newly re-launched gastro pub in Cheshire. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about cooking great food in a supportive and collaborative environment.
About the Role:
As Sous Chef, you will:
Lead the kitchen team in the Head Chef’s absence.
Support with menu development, stock management, and maintaining a safe, compliant kitchen with a strong focus on Health & Safety.
Provide mentorship and guidance to junior kitchen staff.
Ensure high standards and attention to detail, consistently delivering quality dishes.
Work with the team to maintain a 5* Scores on the Doors rating.
Play an integral role in training and developing the team to ensure fresh, quality food is presented every time. What Makes This Opportunity Unique:
You’ll be working alongside a talented and supportive Head Chef, known for their background working with a highly acclaimed chef. The kitchen operates with an open pass and offers a relaxed yet professional atmosphere. This isn’t fine dining, but it’s good food done exceptionally well. The menu is small but carefully crafted, and a brand-new menu is set to launch in two weeks.

Tips split 5-10%.
Annual bonus.
Mentorship from an experienced and non-shouty Head Chef, who genuinely enjoys developing their team.
