Job Description: ProCare Therapy is seeking a passionate and dedicated Special Education Teacher for the 2024-2025 school year in Stillwater, MN. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic about making a difference in the lives of students with special needs and will be able to work collaboratively with a team of educators, parents, and administrators to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with disabilities.
  • Adapt teaching methods and instructional materials to meet students' varying needs and interests.
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, school staff, and parents to support student learning and development.
  • Assess students' skills and learning needs to tailor instructional strategies.
  • Monitor student progress and maintain accurate records of student performance.
  • Create a positive and structured classroom environment that supports students' academic, social, and emotional growth.
  • Participate in IEP meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and professional development sessions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • ValidState Teaching Certification in Special Education.
  • Experience working with students with diverse needs, including those with learning disabilities, emotional disturbances, and autism spectrum disorders.
  • Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a team and independently.
  • Patience, flexibility, and a passion for teaching and supporting students with special needs.
