Job Description
Robert Half is seeking a skilled Accounts Payable/ Accounting Manager to lead AP within the hospitality industry. The AP Consultant will be responsible for reviewing and approving AP batches in the system, process check, EFT, ACH and supervise 2 staff. Additionally, the consultant will support the controller by reconciling some balance sheet accounts and booking ap accruals.This role will be located onsite in Commerce, CA.
Technical Skills
- Lead and supervise accounts payable staff of 2
- Review and approve weekly batches in the accounting system and book monthly AP accruals
- Strong organizational skill
- Intermediate Excel skills required
- Excellent written/verbal communication skills required
- Must be able to work independently
• Proven experience in a managerial role within an Accounts Payable department, preferably within the hospitality industry.
• Proficiency in Account Coding and Accounts Payable (AP) procedures.
• Extensive knowledge of Accrual Accounting principles.
• Familiarity with Automated Clearing House (ACH) transactions.
• Experience managing Payable Invoices and conducting Weekly Account Payable reviews.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with all levels of an organization.
• Strong organizational skills, with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
• Proficient in using financial software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical skills.
• Knowledge of local and national financial regulations and standards.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field is preferred.
• CPA or other relevant certification is a plus.
