Special Education Teacher - Pine Bluff, AR (2024-25 School Year)

ProCare Therapy is currently seeking a dedicated and passionate Special Education Teacher for the 2024-25 school year in Pine Bluff, AR. This role involves providing exceptional education and support to students with diverse learning needs, ensuring they achieve their full potential in a supportive and inclusive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with special needs.
• Adapt and modify the general education curriculum to meet the individual needs of students.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and other staff to support student learning.
• Monitor student progress and maintain accurate records.
• Utilize a variety of teaching methods and resources to engage students in learning.
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress and goals.
• Provide a safe and positive learning environment for all students.
• Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in special education.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Masters degree in Special Education or a related field.
• Valid state Special Education teaching license.
• Previous experience working with students with special needs is preferred.
• Strong understanding of special education laws and regulations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
• Passion for helping students succeed academically, socially, and emotionally.
