We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Special Education Teacher for the 2024-25 school year in Plymouth, NH. Job Description:

As a Special Education Teacher, you will be responsible for providing individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with diverse learning needs. You will work closely with other educators, parents, and support staff to create a supportive and inclusive educational environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement IEPs tailored to the individual needs of each student.
  • Adapt teaching methods and instructional materials to meet students' varying needs and interests.
  • Assess students skills and determine their educational needs.
  • Establish clear objectives for all lessons, units, and projects, and communicate those objectives to students.
  • Monitor students progress and collaborate with other educators to adjust instructional methods and materials as needed.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student engagement and participation.
  • Maintain accurate and complete records of students' progress and development.
  • Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding their childs progress and any concerns.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in special education.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree in Special Education or a related field (Masters degree preferred).
  • Valid state Special Education Teaching License.
  • Experience working with students with a variety of disabilities.
  • Strong knowledge of special education laws and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to develop and implement effective and individualized instructional plans.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children with special needs.
