Job Overview:

Fast-Casual, high-volume restaurant seeking experienced, hands-on General Manager with kitchen experience to oversee West Hollywood location. The role offers competitive hourly pay of $32 per hour with a 40 hour work week and the expectation of some overtime, plus potential for bonuses.

Location: West Hollywood, CA

Key Responsibilities:

Operations, Administration, and Guest Service:

  • Ensure smooth restaurant operations, including food quality, hospitality, and adherence to company standards for sales and profits.

  • Supervise and maintain front-of-house displays, organization, and cleanliness.

  • Be knowledgeable in both front-of-house and back-of-house processes and assist as needed.

  • Uphold food safety and workplace safety standards, ensuring all staff follow guidelines.

  • Address maintenance issues and ensure cleanliness of all areas and equipment.

  • Oversee the opening and closing of the restaurant, including POS cash outs and report generation.

  • Maintain inventory and ensure sufficient cash and operating supplies.

  • Prepare and post team schedules weekly, adhering to labor goals.

Purchasing:

  • Manage supply orders, including food, janitorial, and office supplies.

  • Conduct weekly and monthly inventories, track discrepancies, and communicate with the Area Manager.

HR, Training, and Development:

  • Ensure all team members receive proper training and cross-training.

  • Hire, onboard, and orient new staff, ensuring all necessary documentation is completed.

  • Identify high-potential team members for further development.

  • Conduct staff performance evaluations and address performance issues through coaching or discipline.

  • Ensure compliance with workplace safety, harassment prevention, and other required training.

  • Document and address behavioral or performance issues according to company policy.

Administration and Finance:

  • Monitor controllable costs (food, labor, supplies), making adjustments to meet targets.

  • Process invoices, tips, petty cash, and bank deposits per company policy.

  • Participate in weekly financial reviews and report performance to management.

Personnel Administration:

  • Handle recruitment, interviews, and personnel documentation.

  • Oversee terminations and ensure all required paperwork is completed.

  • Ensure staff comply with break and timecard regulations.

Work Environment and Requirements:

  • Flexibility in scheduling, including weekends, nights, and holidays..

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a restaurant or specialty retail food store manager.

  • High school diploma required, college/technical education preferred.

  • Required certifications: food safety, sexual harassment prevention, and ABC/RBS (if applicable).

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to work on your feet for up to 10 hours, lift 40 lbs, and perform tasks that require bending, climbing, and manual dexterity.
