Job Description

Key Responsibilities: Manage lodge operations and ensure high levels of guest relations, providing a welcoming "at home" experience. Lead and develop lodge staff, focusing on morale, skills development, and adherence to service excellence standards. Support human resources functions, including recruitment, onboarding, and performance management. Maintain the highest standards of housekeeping, gardening, and maintenance. Ensure effective financial management through diligent administration of orders and stock control. Facilitate communication among departmental teams to meet guest needs and ensure smooth operations. Oversee concierge and reception duties, ensuring exceptional service quality. Promote sustainability practices within lodge operations and support conservation efforts. Qualifications: Minimum of 6 years of work experience, including management in a recognized five-star lodge or world-class lodge. High standards of service excellence and a passion for the hospitality industry. Exceptional knowledge of Food and Beverage preparation and terminology, including dietary awareness. Strong financial management skills. Fluent in English; a second language is preferable. Good computer literacy and reporting skills. Excellent management and communication abilities. Understanding of basic labor law and disciplinary procedures. A developmental approach to staff training and growth. Awareness of housekeeping and maintenance procedures. Knowledge of current trends in the food and lodge industries. Attention to detail, assertiveness, patience, and strong organizational skills. Valid Drivers License.
