Job Summary

The Recipe Test Chef, will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of FLIK's recipes database (Webtrition) through accurate testing of recipes, ingredient information procurement and high-level culinary skill.

Responsibilities include:

Maintaining a recipe testing schedule that meets the demand of FLIK business, while not hindering on-site kitchen production.

Contacting vendors to obtain ingredient information for entry in Webtrition.

Working with FLIK's Registered Dietitians and Webtrition Facilitator to prioritize recipe testing.

Training unit chefs to assist with accurate recipe testing.

Adheres to HACCP guidelines to ensure efficient, safe and sanitary food production, preparation and presentation.

Preferred Qualifications:

B.S. Degree in Culinary Nutrition, or related field

Minimum of two to three years of culinary/kitchen experience, depending upon formal degree or training

Hands-on chef experience a must

Comprehensive knowledge of food and catering trends with a focus on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation

Must be experienced with computers; to include Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Power Point), Outlook, E-mail and the Internet

ServSafe certified - highly desirable
