Consultant Histopathologist Somerset


Our client’s hospital is seeking a dedicated and experienced Consultant Histopathologist to join our dynamic team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a leading healthcare institution renowned for its commitment to excellence in patient care and medical research.


Salary: £105,504 to £139,882

Salary Period: Yearly


Qualifications and Requirements

  • MBBS or equivalent.
  • Fellowship of the Royal College of Pathologists or equivalent.
  • Full registration (and a licence to practise) with the General Medical Council (GMC).
  • Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) within 6 months of interview.

As a Consultant Histopathologist, your responsibilities will include:

  • Perform diagnostic histopathology and cytopathology.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings.
  • Contribute to the training and supervision of junior medical staff.
  • Engage in clinical audit and quality improvement activities.
  • Participate in the on-call rota.
