Job Description

As part of our continued expansion and company growth we are now looking for an AHU Estimating Engineer to join the team at Airedale. This key individual will be involved in preparing estimates and realistic tenders that ensures business sustainability through securing contracts. Part of your role will involve developing accurate and timely estimates and detailed quotations, as well as supporting the wider Estimating team, to maximise opportunities for the business.


This is a full time permanent position, working remotely or office based in Leeds, Bradford or Consett.


Responsibilities

Key responsibilities for this role include:

  • Using estimation software and tools to generate accurate and competitive quotations.
  • Ability to review schedules, specifications and drawings.
  • Ensuring technical selections comply with customer requirements and current regulations.
  • Working closely with our senior estimators and our external sales team, as well as contractors and consultants.
  • Must be able to meet tight deadlines and communicate effectively at all levels both internally and with the customer.
  • Identify and develop new customers.
  • Work under deadline pressures in an efficient, composed, and calm manner.


Skills/Experience

  • Previous use of AHU estimation software would be advantageous.
  • Engineering qualification – HNC or above preferred.
  • GCSE in Maths, and English, grade C minimum or equivalent.
  • Have knowledge and experience of Microsoft (Excel, Word etc.) and Adobe Acrobat.
  • The ideal candidate will be a confident and self-motivated individual with the ability to be innovative whilst still being able to comply with policies and procedures.
  • Able to manage situations when workload presents conflicting demands on time availability, demonstrating an ability to effectively prioritise, and schedule.
  • Communicate facts, ideas, and proposals to others in an effective and persuasive manner.
